Personalize Your Brand

Millions of consumers rush to social networks to get a closer glimpse into the mysterious brands that they support, and it begs the question: what are they looking for? With the average Twitter user following one to five brands on the social network, all brands should be aware that the spotlight is always on them.

This presents a great opportunity for business owners and marketers.  With the spotlight on your brand, it makes it easy to accentuate the best features of your business.  Believe or not, a personal touch may be just what your brand needs.

Check out our five tips for adding a personal touch and making your brand absolutely irresistible.

  1. Add photos of your team. Your staff keeps the daily operations that your clients depend on running smoothly, so why not introduce them to the world.  Adding pictures of your team in action, working or enjoying the company holiday party are great ways to connect your fans to your brand.
  2. Tell your story. Everyone starts off somewhere, and so did your company.  Give your brand the human touch by the story or anecdote behind your company’s growth, success, and even failures.  This will make your brand not only seem more experienced, but more approachable.  Every story is a learning experience, and fans love to learn from your brand.
  3. Spread your wisdom. Fans appreciate any additional information that could help them with challenges from trivia games to the hardships they may be facing with their own endeavors.  Post ebooks, quick tips, and webinars to share the ideas that you have already mastered.  With this, your brand will establish trust with the masses and become the expert in your industry.
  4. Encourage interaction amongst your fans. Begin a conversation on your social media feeds, and allow your followers and fans to exchange ideas and interact.  People flock toward areas of shared interest and support.  Start a conversation, and watch it flourish.  You could even pick-up a thing or two from your fans.
  5. Jump in. Don’t let your fans and followers have all of the fun, jump in and join the conversation.  Your clients will appreciate the time and attention that you give to mentions, posts, and retweets.  This is a reflection upon the customer service facet of your brand, and consistent efforts authenticate the dedication to your brand and interested followers.

Giving your brand a personal touch is a sure way to increase your following and reinforce your brand’s strengths.
